Abstract

Objective: to evaluate the general characteristics and the degree of resilience of students of nursing technicians and radiology of an institution in the surroundings of Brasília. Method: it is a cross-sectional and descriptive study carried out with 250 students in the health field through a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Wagnild & Young resilience scale. The data were analyzed in the SPSS and presented by descriptive statistics. Results: female students (86.4%), married (91.6%) and with children (54.4%) predominated. They live in the surroundings of Brasilia (62.4%), with 49.5% having moderate resilience. The factors that most contribute to resilience are resolutions of actions and values, self-confidence and adaptability. Conclusion: urnderstanding the sociodemographic and academic profile of students, becomes an important instrument to signal ways that enhance or weaken teaching-learning, as well as resilience in the face of this daily confrontation.
