Adolescentes, formación ciudadana y participación: una reflexión desde la escuela secundaria.

Teenagers act in various social fields: family, school, community, even work. However, they are seen as passive citizens by an adult world that distrusts their participation; as incomplete citizens to whom part of their rights are denied or, at least protected until they acquire the capacity to make responsible use of them. Based on the experience of the Student Societies Project implemented in secondary education schools in Mexico City in the last decade, the possibilities of citizen training are analyzed based on their participation in the construction of more democratic spaces.
