Radiation hybrid and comparative mapping of 38 canine heart ESTs.

The article discusses issues related to radiation hybrid and comparative mapping of 38 canine heart expressed sequence tags (ESTs). Random clones from a cDNA library constructed from the right and left atria and ventricles of two mixed breed dogs were sequenced and annotated. Sequences chosen for RH mapping were contigs assembled from two or more individual ESTs from this library. Accession number(s) used to identify primers for polymerase chain reaction amplification of genomic DNA are provided in the article. Statistical analysis for placement of each EST marker was performed by two-point linkage analysis in a two-step process with the Multimap software.
