COVID-19, Home Confinement, and the Fallacy of "Safest at Home".

An editorial is provided in which the authors discuss the risks associated with the stay-at-home, or shelter-in-place, public health mandates in the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a particular focus on the increased risk of intimate partner violence (IPV) against women. An overview of shelters for victims of domestic abuse during the pandemic is provided.
