Abstract

[Objective (The present paper aims to explore the effects of planting density on photosynthesis and yield of cucumber in the Si¬chuan Basin. ' Method】 Cucumber ‘ Chuanlv No. 11 ’ taken as material,five cultivation densities were set up. The chlorophyll content,leaf area,photosynthetic gas exchange parameters,chlorophyll fluorescence parameters and yield indicators of different leaf positions of cucumber in different density were determined. ' Result】 The effect of planting density on the photosynthetic apparatus of different parts of cucumber was also different. The lowering of net photosynthetic rate of cucumber plants from bottom to top was caused by non-stomatal factors,non- stomatal and stomatal factors,and stomatal factors. There might be a photosynthetic compensation mechanism; As the density of cucumber decreased,the yield per plant increased gradually,but the yield per 667m2 gradually decreased. ' Conclusion】 The study reveals the effects of different cultivation densities on different leaf positions of cucumber and provides a theoretical basis for the selection of cucumber planting density in spring in Sichuan basin.
