Abstract
- In Ottoman Empire, along with the financial regulations that were introduced after the declaration of Tanzimat (political reforms) in the XIX. Century, a new type of records called Temettuat registry was kept in addition to existing population records. In these registers; unlike the population changes, it is possible to reach the information related to the head of household, his occupation, how many acres of land and how much of it is used, how much of it is not used, the current agricultural products obtained and the tithe tax he paid and the number of sheep and cattle owned. From this point of view, we can say that there is a fairer tax collection procedure in order to determine taxpayers and to create a balanced budget. .In this study, the socio-economic structure of Inluce village of Konya in the year H.1260-1261 / (M.1844-1845) was examined by utilizing the Temettûat book numbered 10381 in ML.VRD.TMT in the Ottoman Archives of the Prime Ministry. The main source of livelihood for people in Inluce village, with a total of 111 households, is agriculture and animal husbandry. Although the majority of the people were agrarians, it is possible to come across professions such as servant, Imam, laborer, porter, and elementary school teacher. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
