Abstract

This article profiles Cleary Simpson, a 48 year old publisher at the periodical Sports Illustrated for Kids. She aims to develop more outlets reaching children wherever they spend time online, at school and at play. She thinks that children are not as fickle as they seem to be and that they are open to experimentation but surprisingly loyal to brands. She advises marketers to respect children and talk directly to them in advertising because they are far more sophisticated than most marketers realize.
