Abstract

The present paper provides the theoretical information about structural stability, electronic and thermoelectric properties of monolayer and bilayer of SrS. To obtain these properties we have utilized the first principle investigation with the method of density functional theory (DFT). The obtained results of monolayer and bilayer provides the information that the materials in both the phases are dynamically stable with the indirect semiconductor behavior we also obtained the orbitals contribution using projected density of state (PDOS). Furthermore in this paper we have obtained the temperature based thermoelectric properties such as thermoelectric power (see-beck coefficient), thermal and electrical conductivity and finally the Figure of merit (ZT) by utilizing the semi-classical Boltzmann transport equations (BTE).
