Breast cancer fractionation patterns: Why aren't they uniform, and should they be?

An editorial is presented breast cancer fractionation patterns. Topics include the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) guideline did not address nodal irradiation or postmastectomy irradiation; large breast size worsens long‐term cosmetic outcome, even with modern treatment planning; and chan and colleagues did not examine whether the histologic features of invasive cancers or dosimetric parameters affected the decision to use hypofractionation.
