Abstract

In the article, the author discusses the effect of amending Florida Senate Bill 896 on the use of electronic monitoring devices in the rooms of nursing home residents. Also cited are the abuses experienced by residents from nursing homes staff, the aim of the law to protect the health and safety of the elderly population in nursing homes, and the privacy issues over the use of electronic monitoring devices.
