ADAPTAÇÃO E VALIDAÇÃO DO INSTRUMENTO "PATIENT CENTEREDCARE" PARA A CULTURA PORTUGUESA.

Addressing the challenges of a changing world and the inherent needs and expectations of people is an effective guideline of health services for people and therefore the refocusing of health professionals' interventions on the needs and possibilities of the care recipient. Objective: to test the psychometric properties of the Portuguese version of the "Patient centered-care instrument". Method: descriptive, analytical and cross - sectional study for cross - cultural adaptation and validation of psychometric properties. Results: 236 nurses from 2 Lisbon and Tagus Valley Health Centers participated. For general reliability we obtained a Cronbach's alpha .91 and the confirmation of analysis that supports the four-dimensional structure. Conclusions: The quality of adjustment of the confirmatory analysis corroborates the validity of the adapted version in hospital care contexts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
