Abstract

The article focuses on the detection of SARS-CoV-2 among residents and staff members of an independent and assisted living community for older adults in Seattle, Washington, 2020. Topics include the COVID-19 morbidity among residents of independent living communities, the skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) has experienced high COVID-19 transmission, and the possible explanations for differences in findings in residential community from those in SNFs for social distancing among residents.
