Reaktif Terpolimerin Bitümün Kıvamına ve Sıcaklık Duyarlılığına Etkisi.

In this study, the effect of Reactive Terpolymer (Elvaloy RET), which is used as an additive in bitumen modification, on the consistency and thermal properties of bituminous binders was investigated. For this purpose, modified binders were obtained by adding 0,5%, 0,75% and 1% Elvaloy RET to the pure B 100/150 penetration grading binder. The features of pure and modified binders were analyzed by penetration, softening point, mass loss and rotational viscometer tests. In addition, the thermal sensitivities of the bituminous binders were determined by calculating the penetration index and penetration viscosity number values. According to the test results penetration values were decreased in Elvaloy RET additive binders compared to pure binders, while significant increase were observed in softening point and viscosity values. As a result, it was determined that binders with soft consistency and high temperature sensitivity had a harder consistency with the addition of Elvaloy RET, binder class changed and the temperature sensitivity decreased significantly.
