Abstract
- This editorial explains why the issues of "IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering" are late in going to subscribers. There have been problems with the printing process because the IEEE Publishing Services has made changes in its operations but steps have been taken to remedy the problem. A system has been instituted to allow authors to get information about the status of their submitted papers. The biggest problem in responding to authors quickly is getting reviews back from reviewers is that some reviewers do return the papers for months. Some of the fault lies with reviewers and some with authors who submit papers that are difficult to review. Suggestions for authors are hereby presented in order to expedite the handling of papers.
