Abstract

The article provides an overview of sacred trees in Ireland. It mentions about Rag Tree at Clonfert Cathedral, Co. Galway, which was probably a native species such as ash or oak initially, a horse chestnut is used as a rag tree today for curing sick children. It also informs on Money Tree at Clonenagh, Mountrath, Co. Laois.
