I A. fleischeri i has been responsible for significant damage (tree mortality and decreased of wood quality) to economically important poplar trees in Liaoning, northeast China, and especially to I P. nigra i var. I italica i , which is widely found in the EPPO region (Zang I et al. i , [19]). Round wood and sawn wood of more than 6 mm thickness of I Populus i spp. and I Salix i spp. should either originate in pest-free areas or undergo debarking followed by heat treatment, irradiation or fumigation.
