Margins of the centre or critical peripheries?

An introduction to articles published within the issue is presented, including one on the early metallurgical production in the Far Northeast of Asia and Alaska, another on the maritime hunter-gatherers in the subarctic North Pacific using biogeographic and archaeological data from the Kuril Islands, and another on which explored walrusing, whaling and the origins of the Old Bering Sea culture.
