Effects of Type of PVA Fibres on the Properties of Fibre-Cement Composites.

The fibre-cement properties are strongly influenced by the type of reinforcement fibres used. Meeting the demanding requirements for fibre-cement products and ensuring their long-term durability requires constant testing of new fibre-cement modifications. In the experiments, a new type of PVA fibres was tested for the production of fibrecement profiled sheets with an emphasis on increasing the quality of the resulting product while maintaining the same economic demands of the whole process.
