Abstract

In order to alleviate the volume expansion of nano-silicon powder and effectively improve its conductivity, DC arc plasma evaporation method and liquid phase dispersion were used to prepare high-purity and high-dispersion nano-silicon powder, and sucrose was used as carbon source, a novel nano-silicon carbon composite anode material was prepared combined with expanded graphite. The results show that the first discharge capacity of pure nano­silicon at a ratio of 0. 1C reaches 2 712 mAh/g, but the first coulombic efficiency is only 33. 81%. The prepared nano-silicon carbon composite material is charged for the first time at a magnification of 0. 1C and the discharge capacity is 615 and 917 mAh/g, respectively. The reversible specific capacity is maintained at 495 mAh/g after 50 cycles and the cycle performance and rate performance are greatly improved. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
