Abstract

Within the boundaries of Bryce Canyon National Park, visitors can witness one of the world's most whimsically beautiful landforms: a series of interconnected natural bowls carved into an airy plateau. At Bryce Canyon National Park, this process began tens of millions of years ago with the uplift of blocks of earth high into the sky - a sky of continental, arid nature. Originally called Bryce's Canyon, the beautiful series of bowls would eventually be called Bryce Canyon. [Extracted from the article]
