Abstract

A new tetrazole tripodal ligand, tris[2-(tetrazol-5-ylmethoxy)phenyl]phosphine oxide, has been obtained. Its structure in crystal and solutions has been elucidated by X-ray diffraction analysis as well as IR, Raman, and multinuclear (1H, 13C, 31P) NMR spectroscopy. Coordination properties of the polydentate ligand have been studied as exemplified by the complexation with lanthanum(III). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
