Abstract

Thermally laminated foam boards, methods for making thermally laminated foam boards, apparatus for making thermally laminated foam boards, smaller foam pieces made from thermally laminated foam boards, methods for making smaller foam pieces from thermally laminated foam boards, parts made from thermally laminated foam boards, methods for making parts from thermally laminated foam boards, and tools for making parts from thermally laminated foam boards are disclosed. The multilayer foam structure can be obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one nonrecycled foam composition layer with at least one recycled foam composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure. Polyethylene resin foam particles having the following mixture as a base resin, and the DSC curve obtained by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of the polyethylene resin foam particles has one melting peak derived from the polyethylene resin. The non-foam material is narrower than the foam material and is positioned relative to the foam material such that the edges of the non-foam material are concealed by the foam material. A resin laminate 10 comprises: at least one expandable resin layer 11 containing a resin and a thermally expandable graphite; and at least one foamed resin layer 12 made of a resin foam, wherein the sum of the values obtained by multiplying the thicknesses of the expandable resin layers 11 by expansion ratios is equal to or greater than the total thickness of the foamed resin layers 12.
