Abstract

The countries of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru make up the Pacific Alliance (pa) since 2011. The four countries need trade for the growth of the economy, this situation forces them to design Agreements that boost exports and imports so that they may have a greater participation in the Gross Domestic Product (gdp). With the increase of the participation of exports and imports in the gdp, there is a concentration of trade and the countries of the pa have among their main partners, the United States and China, in the case of trade that occurs between the members of the pa, this is low and does not exceed 5%. Both before and after the creation of the pa. The article analyzes and explains the share of exports and imports in gdp, as well as the concentration of trade in Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
