The article reports on the proposal of the Committee on Climate Change for oil companies and airlines in Great Britain in an aim to attain its net-zero emissions target by 2050. Topics discussed include a proposal for these companies to pay for a massive tree-planting project to fight climate change, changes in farming and land use due to associated emissions, and the importance of a massive increase in agricultural productivity.
