Abstract
- (C 6 H 5 C 2 H 4 NH 3) 2 Pb 1 − x Sr x Br 4 (x = 0. 1 , 0.25 and 0.5) single crystals were grown by the poor-solvent diffusion method to evaluate their scintillation properties. When X-rays were irradiated upon the sample, the solids demonstrated scintillation with a spectrum of band peaking around 430 nm due to exciton emission from the inorganic layer. The pulse height spectra under 137Cs gamma-rays irradiation were measured by using (C 6 H 5 C 2 H 4 NH 3) 2 Pb 1 − x Sr x Br 4 (x = 0. 1 and 0.25) crystals, and the estimated scintillation light yields were 19,700 and 18,500 ph/MeV for x = 0. 1 and 0.25 samples, respectively.
