Sea and coastal areas are the most important areas of humanity's common living spaces that are related to each other. Two thirds of the world's population lives in coastal areas. The coastal areas serve humanity in many aspects such as nutrition, housing, defense, trade. This is because of coastal areas are exposed to intense human pressures. These areas are also the areas where the world's tourism activities are most intense. The coast of Trabzon has very few bays and gulfs. The 119-km-long provincial coast has been home to many civilizations and nations, as well as ecological and natural landscape features. It has the remains of traces and structures of the past. The coastal areas and structures that are to be protected and coastal historical areas and structures in recent times are under intense intervention and extinction. With this study, the necessities to be done with historical potential and sustainability of the structures and potential of tourism have been examined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
