Thus, this article will discuss on how far khutba has spread and promoted hudud law in Malaysia, a motion that contradicted to the government's stand, despites so many initiatives June been launched to curb the influence of Islamlsm in mosques This research analysed khutba texts that had been delivered in 201 i until 2016 in several Malaysian States which transcriptions were accessible on the official website of the state religious department. All texts were analysed using filvtvo II software by thematic approach. This study found that religious bureaucrats in state level have been playing significant roles in shaping the society s understanding and support for the prospect of hudud law.
