Abstract: The objective of this paper is to characterize WhatsApp's based on the linguistic attitudes and beliefs of participants of three conversational groups. This is a non-experimental, qualitative and exploratory study that was made from the interview of each group administrators, regarding their attitudes and beliefs about their communication on WhatsApp. From the results a list of WhatsApp characteristics is shown from the linguistic perspective, and a reflection is done on accepting this type of writing manifestation in the virtuality, i.e. on WhatsApp, since it is another testimony of the communicative capabilities and strategies of the human being.
