Abstract

The article discusses the use of Predictive Processing Models(PP), developed using computational neuroscience, to explore subjective consciousness. Topics include core themes from PP models of perception, action, and emotion, capturing of many aspects of experience by PP models, suggesting powerful new bridges between phenomenology and the sciences of mind, and conditions under which a being will infer the presence of qualia and begin to find them puzzling.
