Terra e Geografia.

This article deals with the concept of land in a historical and contextual perspective. In this framework, the text dialogues with philosophers, historians, sociologists and geographers and their relations with rural studies. A didactic-theoretical order exercise was performed, since the notions of rural and, concurrently, agricultural and agrarian are adjectivations that flow from the earth, but are not explicit in their conceptual differences. It is intended, therefore, to understand the land and its relationship with geographic knowledge through interdisciplinary dialogue, aiming at the construction of a research agenda.
