Abstract
- This paper is aimed at identifying some trends in training academics, through a comparative study. For this, experiences of Latin American universities in training academics were compared. The study had three parts: first, educational contexts where academics are trained were depicted; second, peculiar ways in which each university trains academics were assessed; and third, traditions of universities in training academics were identified.
