Abstract
- The article offers information on the role of kinetic isotope effects in enzyme conversion in molecules and to understand how reactions work. Topics discussed include breaking carbon hydrogen bonds in reactions faster than breaking an analogous bond between carbon; kinetic isotope effects to hack into chemical reactions used by chemists; and the vibrational energy within carbon-hydrogen (C-H) and carbon-deuterium (C-D) bonds.
