Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the activity rates of firms operating in Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) Basic Metal and Metal Products Index have an effect on the financial performance of firms. Activity rates, also referred to as efficiency analysis, examine the relationship between sales volume and short-term and long-term assets owned by enterprises. For this purpose, the analysis of 37 periods of 37 companies operating in ISE Basic Metal and Metal Products Index between 20101Q-20191Q was performed. Data were obtained from Public Disclosure Platform (PDP). In the study, ROA was the dependent variable; As the independent variable, asset turnover, inventory turnover, receivables turnover, equity turnover and net working capital turnover were used. As a result of the study, it was seen that ROA, which is a dependent variable, was affected all from the activity rates of the enterprise. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
