Abstract

This article presents departmental editors' statements for departmental scope of this journal. Individual engineers and scientists are the keys to technological innovation, and theft contributions depend on the ways in which theft organizations are organized and managed. For example, technical organizations are undergoing major transformations as they strive to become more competitive by bringing new products to market more rapidly and efficiently, by listening to their customers more closely, and by funding technical organizations more from business unit resources and less from corporate funds. The Models and Methodologies Department focuses on the application of theoretically-based models and rigorous solution methodologies to both conceptualize and develop solutions for the complex problems that engineers face.
