Abstract

The article reports on a study scheduled to start in the U.S. in December 2019 to test whether the science high school classroom can be used to explain issues on race and ancestry. Topics include genetic differences in the human population, how traits of species are developed by a complex mix of genes and environment, and the divisive effects of genetic misconceptions on the attitudes of Americans about race.
