Abstract

Presents a study on genomic disorder-associated DNA rearrangements in proximal chromosome 17p. Effect of region-specific low-copy repeats (LCR) on the genome structure's susceptibility to DNA rearrangements and genomic instability; Status of constitutional reciprocal chromosome translocation breakpoints which were shown to be associated with LCR; Molecular mechanisms of genomic disorders.
