Abstract

The article discusses green growth. Economists believe that growth can continue indefinitely as they measure growth in terms of economic value. Economist Paul Krugman suggests that physical scientists have a false notion of economic growth. The economists differ on whether a continuous decoupling might allow economic expansion to go on indefinitely. It mentions relative decoupling, which refers to a decline in resource and absolute decoupling, which is an absolute fall in consumption.
