Abstract

The article provides data on circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus (cVDPV) outbreaks detected from January 2018 to June 2019. Highlights include cessation of use of all oral poliovirus vaccines (OPV) after certification of polio eradication, an outline of cVDPVs worldwide detected by serotype and other selected attributes, and OPV coverage in Central African Republic before and after the switch from trivalent OPV and bivalent OPV.
