Abstract

TOCNs reinforced aramid-mica papers were fabricated by vacuum assisted filtration approach with aramicl fibricl and mica as tbe main materials and TEMPO oxidized nanocellulose (TOCNs) as reinforced material. The structure mechanism, mechanical performance, breakdown strength of the TOCNs reinforced aramid-mica papers with different contents of TOCNs were analyzed and compared. The results showed that,the addition of TOCNs could not only effectively strengthen the interfacial bond between aramid fiber and mica, but also could significantly reduce the structural defects in the papers. When the content of TOCNs was 20 wt. %,the tensile strength and the average breakdown strength of the TOCNs reinforced aramid-mica papers achieved 82% and 72% enhancement from the pristine paper, respectively.
