Abstract

Phthalocyanine derivatives have attracted attention in the photodynamic therapy of cancer. The preparation of cationic amphiphilic zinc phthalocyanine derivatives is described. Novel amphiphilic non-peripheral substituted zinc phthalocyanine derivative is performed by quaternation. Amphiphilic zinc bis(1,4-didecylbenzo)-bis(3,4-pyrido)porphyrazine will be a useful photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy of cancer. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
