Abstract
- Hydroxyapatite is intensely studied not only for its bone repair applications but for many other applications, too. In this paper, hydroxyapatite obtained from calcium acetate and dimethyl phosphate was doped with two different metals, one being zirconium and the other one was chosen between M(II) and M(III) metals, under ultrasonication conditions. These types of compounds are not mentioned in the literature. The influence of the doped metals on the thermal behavior of hydroxyapatite precursors was studied using thermal analysis, UATR–FTIR spectrometry, energy dispersive X-ray analysis and ICPOS analysis.
