Abstract
- The article offers information regarding the entrance test Le Probatoire (the probationary exam), of France's National School for Skiing and Mountaineering (ENSA). It informs that the activities of European guides range from basic école de glace—ice school, taking groups for their first steps on glaciers in crampons to leading people up some of the most famous terrain in the Alps, such as the north face of the Eiger.
