Abstract
- The article discusses about the most reliable considered early warning system regarding recession by many economists. Topics discussed include plotting the interest rate paid by bonds of the same quality but different maturities; increasing the rate of unemployment's lagging indicator, proven to be a reliable recession signal; and consumers' gross domestic product (GDP) in the U.S. surveys showing their level of confidence regarding economy.
