Abstract
- Background: This article mainly focuses on the use of dexamethasone as interlesional injection for the treatment of oral mucocele among the various other treatment options. Oral mucocele is accumulation of mucus caused by the damage to the minor salivary gland, it appears slightly transparent with bluish tinge. It is a very common lesion encountered in our day-to-day practice. Conclusion: The non-surgical outcome of dexamethasone used as interlesional injection proved to be simple, cost effective and patients acceptance to this non-surgical method was on the higher note.
