Abstract
- The article discusses the book "The Back of the Turtle," by Thomas King, giving particular focus on the role of water as a multivalent trope. Topics include the use of water to criticize extractive economies, the use of water to articulate and propose an ethics of care where Indigenous and feminist paradigms can interact and move forward in collaboration, and the potential of transcultural interdisciplinary readings of Canadian literature.
