Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes of the findings in optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) of two cases with chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) before and after photodynamic therapy (PDT). Retinal and choroidal vasculature changes of two cases diagnosed with chronic CSCR of whom the duration of the symptoms were longer than 6 months and were decided to receive PDT were evaluated with OCTA before treatment and at 1 month follow-up. Choroidal vascular permeability is known to be increased in chronic CSCR. In both cases OCTA showed hyperreflectivity reflecting the changes in vascular structures before treatment. In the OCTA imagings, at the first month of treatment the vascular permeability and hyperreflectivity is shown to be decreased. In conclusion OCTA is a fast and reproducible technique that allows the evaluation of retinal and choroidal vasculature noninvasively. Choroidal vasculature changes after PDT can be evaluated in details with OCTA in cases with CSCR. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
