Abstract

The activity of S.C. Agrobirkenbach SRL started in 2010, following the lease of an area of 183 ha. In the following years, arable land was added in the same area, both in the form of lease and purchase, reaching an area of 831.68 ha in 2015. Out of this area, 80 ha are owned by the company and the difference of 751.68 ha is held as a lease. The present paper aims to make a contribution through the use of modern technologies to the optimisation of area monitoring (lands cultivated with different crops). The agricultural holding is located on the territory of the commune of Târnova, in the county of Arad, which has a rich agricultural potential. The years under study were 2016, 2017 and 2018. In order to make the agricultural holding more efficient since 2016, they worked 426.12 ha in organic farming and 405.56 ha in the conventional system. As far as crops are concerned, in 2016 they were cultivated in a conventional system: 40.72 ha with winter wheat; 217.70 ha with corn; 129.89 ha with winter rapeseed and 17.25 ha were occupied by permanent meadows. Organic crops were represented by sunflower 68,49 ha and soybean 354.13 ha, while 3.5 ha were occupied by permanent meadows. In 2017, 405.56 ha were cultivated in a conventional system, of which 91.97 ha with winter wheat; winter rapeseed on 45.12 ha; soybean on 251.22 ha and 17.25 ha, permanent meadows. In the organic system maize was cultivated on 422.62 ha and 3.5 ha were fodder plants. In 2018, wheat was cultivated on 155,67 ha in the conventional system; maize on 133,67 ha; winter rapeseed on 91.97 ha; alfalfa on 7.00 ha and 17.25 ha were permanent meadows. In the organic system, 105.94 ha were cultivated with sunflower, and 320.18 ha with soybeans. Faced with the disposition of crops every year on physical blocks, a rotation of crops meeting the requirements with immediate influence on production per ha can be achieved without any problems.
