Abstract
- The article describes how a transdiagnostic process called interoception may help to advance the understanding and treatment of eating disorders. Topics discussed include overview of interoception, interoception in anorexia nervosa, and developmental importance of interoception in eating disorders. Treating dysfunctional interoceptive awareness in eating disorders is also mentioned.
