Abstract

We present in this space a synthesis/clipping of the main final results of our doctoral thesis, which took as empirical object a television product, the american series Once upon a time. Underlying, throughout the study, we seek to contribute theoretically and methodologically to the research of television texts. Focusing on the discursive dimension, our objective was to investigate how intertextuality works (Kristeva, 2012; Fiorin, 2003) in the narrative construction of this contemporary series. For this, we adopt a methodology that goes from the verbal to the imagetic plane. Being the narrative in focus divided into two distinct diegetic texts, among the most singular results of the investigation we emphasize that we see in the scenic objects its great intertextual articulators.
