Abstract
- A first report is made of the presence of the triatomine insect Triatoma nigromaculata (Hemiptera: Reduviidae, Triatominae), collected intradomiciliary biting on human in Zaragoza, Sierra de San Luis, Falcon state, northwestern region of Venezuela. The potential implications of this finding for transmission of Trypanosoma cruzi etiological agent of Chagas disease are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
